Cherries' fortunes dovetail with Evanilson's improved form as Marco Rose records first Prem win

Cherries have lift off in the Premier League, comfortably dispatching Sunderland 2-0 at Dean Court. Evanilson starred with an assist and goal, taking his scoring streak to three games. It is no surprise that Bournemouth's form has improved as Evanilson starts to find the back of the net.

A side’s fortunes are often intertwined with the form of their star players. For Bournemouth this maxim would be concerning, with Alex Scott and Junior Kroupi still in the treatment room.

However, the biggest parallel that could be drawn by comparing the form of the club to another player is Evanilson.

Just as the underlying numbers have been promising for Cherries without leading to results, we’ve seen signs that Evanilson is capable of becoming a regular contributor in front of goal.

The positions he takes up, the imagination and confidence to try alternative finishes, his pace in behind. On paper Evanilson has the ingredients required to reach double digits in the goal tally each Premier League season - a feat he has, so far, only managed in his debut campaign.
