Meet the team
Jack Tanner is a sports journalist with over 10 years of experience. Starting out in Dorset's non-league football scene, Jack submitted copy to the Bournemouth Echo at 16 before joining the paper full-time to cover Cherries after graduating from Bournemouth University in 2021.
He covered Cherries for over four years before moving on to write about boxing for The Independent. Not short of opinions and obscure facts, Jack is known for his long reads, stemming from tactical analysis to nostalgic deepdives.

Tom Crocker began his sports journalism career as a teenager, volunteering on matchdays to write for AFC Bournemouth’s official club website during their time in the third and fourth tiers.
After reporting on their fortunes on a freelance basis on and off in the following years, Tom then took a role at the Echo, covering the club full-time for five years, from 2019 until 2024.
