This entire article should be prefaced by the acknowledgement that social media reaction in the direct fallout of a game should be heavily caveated by the influence of emotions.
But a common thread has already emerged from AFC Bournemouth supporters in the embryonic stages of the Premier League season - questioning whether Cherries have enough squad depth to compete this campaign.
It feels even more pertinent following Bournemouth’s first European-domestic double header, victory on the continent over Real Sociedad followed by a home clash with Liverpool.
But what is squad depth? Do we measure it based on quantity, or quality? The logic is confused further by the fact Bournemouth have to register two different squads - one for European football, with one set of rules, and one for the Premier League, with its own requirements.
