As many of their Premier League rivals splashed huge amounts of cash on a chaotic final day of the summer transfer window, AFC Bournemouth’s work had long since been done.

It was yet another serene end to the window for Cherries, something which has become a habit in recent years.

Scrabbling around on the final couple of days of the window often indicates poor planning, or a need for a quick reaction.

Only two players have arrived at Bournemouth on a transfer deadline day over the past three years – both coming in the summer of 2025 when Veljko Milosavljević and Álex Jiménez arrived.
