AFC Bournemouth may have just been handed a glimpse of their future - playing football without Alex Scott.

The summer window was filled with speculation that the Guernsey-born midfielder would depart Cherries, reports fuelled by Scott’s decision to turn down a new contract at Vitality Stadium.

Despite all the noise, Scott remained a Cherry - ignoring the distractions to show his quality on the pitch and cement his spot in Thomas Tuchel’s latest England squad.

The 23-year-old made his Three Lions debut off the bench in England’s 2-0 win away in Czechia, before a first start in the 7-0 dismantling of Croatia.
